Transmission problem
1996 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

Someone told my wife that she shouldn't have her transmission oil changed on her 96 Camry for whatever reason. Something about being an older car, it could do more harm than good. Before I ask them what they were smoking when they said this, I wanted to get an expert opinion here.

Thanks!

We have two cars, a 97 and a 99 year model. I changed the transmission fluid every 15,000 miles, filter included. Transmissiion still works perfect for both cars. No problem at all. Just make sure you use the correct type of fluid. There are few different kinds.
Oh, my wife's 97 car got 115,000 miles and my 99 got 215,000 miles.
