1993 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 140000 miles

My Toyota Camry died on me today while I was driving. Everything shut off and after, all of the lights came on such as the check engine light, battery, oil, everything. The gas pedal was completely free but the steering and the brake was tight (would not hardly work). We changed the battery and checked the alternator and the starter but they were both good. Do you know what it could possibly be? Thank you.

Hi there,

You will have to do the basic checks first. Will it crank over, is there fuel pressure, You should hear the fuel pump run of 2-3sec with the ken turned to on. Is there spark, are the injectors working. Have a code read done to check for fault codes, start here before looking to deep most problems are quite basic.
