1990 Toyota Camry do i need a new transmission

just bought car today and it does not go in reverse when you put it half way in gear it tries 2 move but it's not really moving i guess its basically rolling and making loud noise like trying to move, was gonna take to get transmission fluid flushed because its really black what do u think

Hi there,

The black fluid is a sign of slipping and overheating, i think that your transmission is due for an O/haul a flush i feel will be just a waste of oil and time.
