1989 Toyota Camry Is my alternator bad?

1989 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 196k miles

I started my car this morning and let it run for about 10 minutes. I got in the car, and when I turned the headlights on and put the car in reverse, all of my interior lights dimmed or blacked out. My after market cd player shut off completely. It is a ten minute drive to work, and once I began driving everything lit back up. When I left work today, the car started fine and drove fine. As a test while I was driving I turned the headlights on again, and my interior lights dimmed. Is this an alternator issue?

Yes suspect alternator

Should check battery terminals clean and tighten
start engine and check battery volts it should be above 13 v
turn light on it shouldn't drop below the 13 v at least
