the camshaft grear on the right side of the engine broke off causing the belt to break would need a new camshaft and could my valve be bent

Hi there,

You should be able to extract the broken bolt and the cam should be serviceable, the bad news is the engine will have bent valves, you will have to check all cylinders.

Can I do a compresion test to check if the vavle are bent

Yes you can, but you will have to re time the engine and fit a new belt first.
