What causes an evaporator leak?

HI there,

The evaporator is essentially the same as a radiator in construction, there may be a flaw in the welds or a vibration fatigue crack and you can have corrosion eat away at the alloy due to any moisture with in the system, you wont know exactly what has caused this until it is removed and inspected.
