I have a 1999 Toyota Avalon with 120000 miles on a 6 cylinder. The problem is that when driving on highway or in town when the car is warmed up after about 15min the car will start missing when decelerating. If we maintain a speed of 45 to 60 there is no miss at all only when decelerating. We have maintained the car very well with regular oil changes and tune ups. But it seems like no one can tell us what the problem is. I would really appreciate you help in the matter.

Thank you

Have the EGR check-no problem there, check the idle air control valve and throttle position sensors.

A vacuum leak will not show on that speed limit but at idle it will show.

When was it last major tuned-up?

I don't know if I have had a major tune up usually its the plugs, wires and odds and ends that get done.

Thank you for getting back to me so soon.

Pastor

Does the check engine light ever flash or its On right now. Get these areas check out and comeback if it continues.

Or go to the nearest Autozone and have them scanned the computer for code/s maybe it might give us a lead.
