1998 Toyota Avalon warning light

On the dash next to the security lights a light came on that said ECT PWR. I am curious what this code means and if it is something that needs to be attended to immediately?

There is a button either near the shifter or above the radio that controls this. Power means the shift points in the trans have been raised and firmed to more of a performance setting
