I want to replace the brake pads and have the rotors machined at the same time. I'm having trouble getting the nut loose that holds the rotor. Just wondering if I'm turning it the right way to loosen. I've been trying to loosen counter clockwise. Any tips to break it loose?
I've applied liquid wrench already.

On an 97 Avalon, there are no bolts holding the rotors on. You remove the caliper by removing the two bolts thst holds it on, then just slide the cailper off. YOu have to remove the bolt that lets you open the caliper and the bolt that lets the brake line move freely.
Very simple.4 bolts in all
1 bolt to open the caliper to replace the pads
1 bolt to let the hose get free
2 bolts to remove the caliper from teh back plate

good luck, Jack
