I have a toyota 4-runner with 120,000 miles. It is a 2000 v-6, 2wd.

When I drive the car at 68-71 mph there is a vibration that you can feel all over the car and the rear view mirror will even shake, and there is a slight low pitch noise. The vibration is not there at other speeds. It became noticeable after I got new tires about a month ago. A week ago there was a stronger vibration when I was accelerating at 30 and 40 mph, I took it in and they said the u-joints were worn out and the replaced them which stopped the large vibrations. The car pulls to the right but barely. The check engine light is on and has come on and gone off for about 4 months. THe error message reads P0171 sytem too lean bank 1. The O2 sensor was replaced but it did not fix the error code message. I have had the tires rotated and balanced since I have had the problem.

Hi MEL,
Have the tire company recheck the balance of the wheels.

The pull can be various things. Low tire pressure, a bad tire (regardless of age), alignment, suspension issues. Swapping the front tires from side to side will make the pull move to the other direction if it is the tire.

IF the diagnosis on the CEL turned up as the O2 sensor, it is possible that it may be a bad O2 sensor. At least have them check that first, there are many possible causes.
