Just bought a 05 4-runner (last night around 10 pm) this morning I hear a low grind noise when I turn the wheel fully (eg to turn a "u" turn. Low speed abviously. I think it only does it turning to the right. I am very upset at this. If it is a serious problem, are there lemon laws to allow me to give it back? What are the possible problems with this vehicle. It drives excelent otherwise. No pull to either side no matter whether accelerating, slowing or cruising. Steering seems stable otherwise also. This is a full time four wheel drive. This model also has a center differential lock.

I would take it to you local front end shop and have them take a look at it. Discribe your problem and see what they come up with. You should be able to have it checked for free. I recomend this because I can't hear it myself to be of more help. However Toyota's do have a common problem with making noised in tight turns as they get some bushing and torsion bar wear. Yes even at this low mileage it all depends on how it was drivin by the previous owners. Now as far as you lemon law question that differes from state to state and you have to prove in most cases that this car had lots of shop time too. I would also talk to the dealer and see if they are willing to work with you at all too. Just for your info whenever buying a new vehicle alway's get a carfax report and ask to take it to a shop for a once over even if you have to pay to have that done. Let me know how it goes and what you find out. Thanks.
