I recently helped a friend with an oil change. Since the oil change the car has been hesitating. Essentially when she pushes the gas the car doesn't move forward right away. The car will then engage and jerk forward. As if the car has recognized that the gas pedal is being depressed. Your insight would be very helpful.

I just did this with my 1999 4Runner. Make sure you didn't drain the transmission fluid instead of the oil. When I went to change my oil for the first time, I drained the transmission fluid and not the oil. The transmission fluid pan was right behind the front axel and the oil pan was in front of the front axel, (not as visible). Once I drained a couple qts of transmission fluid, my truck did exactly what you're descibing until I realized what I did and filled the tranny fluid.
