2000 Toyota 4Runner Won't start

Just one click sound when ignition is turned. Have replaced battery and it is fueling lights, radio, etc. But there is no sound other than the one click when I try to start the engine.
This happened suddenly - hadn't been having any problem starting.
Can't start the vehicle to take it for diagnostics.
Sound like the starter or alternater or what??? Thanks!

The 4runner is an automatic - there is no clutch pedal.

Check sta fuse 7.5 amp,find the park and neutral switch at the transmission disconnect it and jumper it-Now have helper hold key at start postion -check for power at the starter black and white wire-no power here-swap the starter relay with a like one and see what happens-Get back

Hello Thanks for the donation. It sounds like you have a faulty starter or starter relay. You can test your starter on car by first testing the starter relay by doing the following procedures:
