2000 Toyota 4Runner Battery drain

My 4-runner was transported from AZ to NY and we believe the driver somehow disabled the security system and since the we have a battery drain every two to three days if it is not driven. WE replaced the battery but are still having the same results

Hi there,

You will need to get a current draw test done, this is where an Amp meter is placed between battery Pos (+) and the cable, with key off and doors closed this will show any excessive current draw, if above normal limits, (about.1=.15 Amps start pulling fuses to isolate the faulty circuit, also unhook the alt as a test as a faulty diode can also cause this, your mechanic should be able to do this test for you.
