1995 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

I am having trouble with my battery dying after turning the vehicle off. I have to jump start it and it starts right up. Is there any way to tell if it is my alternator or my battery?

Get a voltmeter read the battery open voltage on the battery -should read 12.4 volts or better-Now start the truck up-read the battery again should be 13.5-15.5 volts if the alternator is doing its job
