1994 Toyota 4Runner transmisson shifts at 5500rpm

1994 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

hi I have a 1994 toyota 4runner v6 3.0 2wheel drive automatic transmisson when I drive it seems like it goes from 1st gear and skips 2nd stright into 3rd gear. From 1st it goes all the way up to 5500rpm at about 45mph before it shifs again. I changed transmisson filter and oil, checked for vacum leaks, checked fluid level and also tried to put in a new speed sensor. I hope u can help me out thanks in advane dezmon

Inspect and test all this sensors, the coolant temperature, throttle position, and vehicle speed sensors-The computer uses these input signals to command and control the transmission to upshift/downshift/overdrive/lock-up etc. If okay get the transmission pressure tested to find out more on what's happening-

Maybe check if the overdrive is on of off
