Brakes problem
1994 Toyota 4Runner 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

94 Toyota 4runner 150k miles.
Neighbors vehicle, been sitting for a year.
Jump battery and started right up. Remove jumper cables. Hit brake pedal and it dies.
Keep battery cables connected and problem doesn't happen. Stays running. Can put into gear. No problem.
Disconnect cables. Foot on brake (to put in gear) dies?

Hi there,

Bench charge the battery fully first and then try, what may be going on is that the battery is so low that the extra load to bring on the brake lights kills the ignition as there is still not enough charge in the battery to run all systems as yet, check the alt charge rate as well and get the battery load tested.

Have it on a trickle charge on my bench now.
Been on for a couple of hrs and shows nothing.

I'll give it juice overnight and see what happens.

Plan B. New batt

Got any ideas to get the antifreeze smell out of my GF's 98 Blazer.
She got it from her dad. Apparently, hose blew?
Had Dexcool in it and she said it has been flushed and filled with the green stuff. Odor of antifreeze through the interior vents (top and bottom) is sickening. I'm going to do another flush as the existing doesn't look fresh.

Thanks Again

This may have a leak at the heater core, do a cooling system pressure test with the heater on.
