I have owned this truck for about 6 months. My 4 runner sat for about 3 weeks after the blizzard. It ran fine during the storm and I didn't need to drive it when the roads cleared. I just drove it today and the truck started to miss at any speed. I checked under the hood and all vac lines are secure. I noticed that my mileage sucks really really bad (10 - 12m.P.G.'S at best) highway. Always hashad poor mileage. It has good power when it's warmed up. But it's like I have a load of bricks in it when cold. I was hunting under the hood and when I sqeezed off the vac hose that runs from under the air intake on the right rear of the motor, it smooths out. The line runs from a steel line from under the intake to a steel line that runs down the firewall. Fuel recovery? With 25 years of auto repair experience I am stumped. I had gotten out of the business 5 years ago and no longer have acess to diag equipment. The tune up is new and from the records I got when I bought it so is the t-belt. The thing is when I pulled off the afore mentioned hose with it running there is a steady stream of fuel squirting out from the intake side of the steel line. I suspect that this is where my mileage is going. But I am at a loss of the steady fuel stream. ( I mean 3-4 inches of fuel shooting out) This line is not in any Emission hose diagram Hope you can help. Thanks.
