After replacing the cylinder head gaskets, power steering pump, sparkplugs and reassembly, we have to rev the truck to almost 3000rpm to get it to move in drive when its cold. If in first, it pulls away with minimal acceleration. I wondered if I may have put vacum lines back wrong or other possiblilties? It seems to get better once the truck as run for awhile, but still feels sluggish off the line in drive. The truck also has a rebuilt transmission within the last year but seemed to function normally before I started on this project.

Thanks for the quick reply, have been self-diagnosing as well been to a couple of shops. The second shop as pulled transmission codes which from trying to understand the repair manual indicates possible soleniod problems on the transmission. When it's cold, you can take off in low and shift your way up to drive no problem, but it will not seem to downshift on it's own when you come to a complete stop for take-off again. After about 10-15 min of steady driving it will start acting normal. The OD Off light will flash a steady on & off when it is not acting normal but discontinue when back to normal. Could this possibly be a pressure related issue? Seems like the transmission needs to "warm-up"?
