I have just completed rebuilding a 3vz motor in a 1991 4runner, it seem as it the timing is not advancing at higher RPM's. It runs good, except it does not like to start and the timing is not advancing. So I guess I have 2 questions, 1 is the timing issue, and 2 for some reason it seems to be bleeding off fuel pressure after about 2 hours of killing the motor. If will crank for a long time, and will eventually start firing on one, or two cylinders and then takes off and runs on all 6. I have replaced the fuel pressure regulator, and the fuel filter, the only other I could think of was injectors and fuel pump. As far as the timing goes I’m lost.

Ok first before I can be of any real help I do need to know what the fuel pressure is once it is warmed up and after it has sat where it don't want to start. Get back to me with that and we will tackle one problem at a time ok.
