I am doing an LM7 swap in my vehicle listed above. I have been following your LM7 video series. I am about to start installing pushrods and rockers. According to your video, you show tightening the rocker bolt 1/4-3/4 turn, then about a half turn, and finally torquing to 22ft lbs. I am inquiring if there is a particular amount of time to wait prior to each step to allow the spring tension to push any lifter oil out? Also do I need to follow firing order or just feel pushrods as I rotate engine assembly for both to come off cam lobe? I appreciate your time and videos.

Hey thanks so much for watching the series!

I am also doing a "How to LS Swap" series right now if you are interested for your future swap, it is a general guide and applies to most vehicles you would LS Swap. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe3kz1i_LrtVvW1Avm2r48HutlXZtDC5m

No there really is not a particular time. By the time I grab the torque wrench and set it the oil has been pushed out.

As far as the sequence goes, you do not have to follow the firing order at all. Just make sure both push rods are off lobe like I showed, and you can do any order you please. For instance, I did 1-3-5-7 then 2-4-6-8.

Thank you for using 2CarPros! Let me know how the swap goes!
