Hi,

If you have a brake hanging up, it could be a caliper or the brake pads may be stuck, stuck slide pins, or even a faulty rubber brake hose.

What happens is when the pads are installed, there is hardware between the pads and the caliper mount. Over time, the mount will rust and when that happens, it expands and presses the hardware hard against the pad until it can't move.

As far as the hose, they break down inside and allow fluid to move in one direction but not the other way. So, we need to check.

So, I need you to try something. Lift the wheel off the ground that you are questioning. Have a helper apply the brakes so the wheel doesn't move. Then have them release the brakes. If the wheel still won't turn, open the bleeder on the brake caliper. See if the wheel is released when that is done. Simply open the bleeder for a second or two and then close it. If the wheel is released, chances are it is the hose. If there is no change, we need to remove the brake caliper and pads to see if the pads are stuck in the mount or if the caliper piston is stuck.

I attached a pic below showing where the bleeder is located on the caliper. Try what I suggested and let me know the results.

Also, here is a link that explains in general how to replace front brakes and rotors. You may need to remove the caliper to see if the caliper piston is the issue, rust, or if one of the slide pins is stuck.

Let me know.

Take care,
