Removed the chain and guides after I locked the crank and back of the cams using the tools. For the front of the camshaft the tool used that is used only after the timing chain covere is installed? Is that used only when the camshaft sprocket phaser replaced? I am not replacing those so do I still need to use it or skip it? Back is locked and crank is locked.

NO - you do NOT need the front cam holding/alignment tool if you are NOT removing or replacing the cam phasers. Let us know if you need anything else. Ken
