I have just changed my timing chain, my water pump, belt tensioner, and serpentine belt. But now my car is idling high then low when it is in park. When I put it in any other gear it is fine? What can the problem be now?

Good morning,

Make sure you have all vacuum hoses connected. A vacuum leak will cause this.

Also, make sure you do not have any air in the cooling system. Low coolant level or air in the system will cause a hunting idle as well.

Refill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed air from the cooling system with the heater valve open.
