I broke off the pivot that helps adjust the tensioner when set with a lock nut. I cannot fit a drill inside to fix it, is there an easy way out of this predicament I am in?

After I drill a hole exactly where the pivot point used to be before it broke off, I then could tap in a dowel pin tight enough to support the pivoting action needed for the timing belt pulley tensioner?

If I were putting another pin in I would use red loctite on it so it won't move you may have to wait a couple of hours for it to cure make sure the hole isn't oblong as well which is easy to do with a hand drill

If I'm not able to fit an angle drill where the pivot point is located to drill out at, I would have to replace the oil pump housing that the pivot point comes from am I correct?

Yes you are correct if you can get a drill in there remove the part and work on it from there.

You could try a shorter drill bit

Best, Ken
