Looking for more info on the camshaft timing?

I watch your video on the 5.4 3v rebuild and seen when y'all where setting timing that on driver side on cam the notch was facing down and on passenger side the notch was facing up looking for more info on the cam timing.

Right, there is a R and L on both with an arrow pointing up. It's the same part used on both sides.

Yes but the notch in the cam itself do they both go to the bottom are on bottom and one top?

I am not sure what you are saying, the notch on the camshaft goes into the actuator which has the timing a marking on it. Can you upload an image of your concern?

Does it matter the notch of camshaft what way it faces when putting phaser on?

The notch on the camshaft should match the notice on the phaser. It shouldn't matter if it is up or down as long as the noticed line up when tightening. If you upload an image, I can be sure of what you are talking about.
