Removing the thermostat is not going to stop it from overheating. You need to determine what is causing the overheating. What was the engine doing prior to overheating? Was it run hot? What are you calling overheating? Coolant boiling over or? Are the cooling fans working? When does it overheat, idle or driving down the road?
