Car keeps overheating on me. Losing coolant. Replaced radiator 2 days ago and now I might have to replace the water pump. Changed thermostat 4 days ago and I think it might be the root cause if I put it it backwards. Do you have a video or some schematics I can look at?

Hello, I'm Danny.

You say the car is losing coolant? Is it leaking to the ground or is it just disappearing altogether with no external leak? I've attached a few pictures below of the thermostat information you requested. The head of the thermostat when installed should be facing towards the radiator. I've circled the picture of the thermostat head and circled in red. The body or spring should be toward the inside of engine. I can supply repair steps for water pump replacement if needed also.I'm pretty sure a thermostat for your car can only be mounted 1 way for installation. Let me know and we'll go from there. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
