Display shows A/C is off due to engine is overheating

The temperature gauge drops off to 0. The fan runs for a while after engine is off, but thee engine is not hot.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Sounds like you might be having an issue with the coolant temperature sensor. It might be faulty and giving your cars computer a false reading thinking its running hot or overheating. Here are 2 tutorials for you to view about coolant temperature symptoms and function:
