Temperature sensor connector wire, how to replace it?

Hello,
Temperature sensor connector wire is worn and broken and too short to reconnect to the main wire system, how to repair this short wire issue? Please advise.

Hi,

If the wire is too short, the only thing you can do is cut it and then add wire to it. When you do this, make sure the new wire that is added is soldered and use heat-shrink to insulate the new joint.

I attached two pics below. Pic 1 simply shows two wires that are soldered together. Pic 2 shows heat-shrink before and after installation. Note: Before you solder the wire, make sure to slide the heat-shrink on to the wire.
