TCM or Not

I have an 04 Mazda 3 Hatchback with a 2.3L Motor with Automatic Transmission.


Can you tell me if this has a TCM? I read that the Sedan does not have it with the same year and engine.

None of the automatic M3s have an individual control module for the transmission, it is internal to the Powertrain Control Module. So the sensors on the transmission and the control solenoids and such are operated from the PCM.
