My TCM is 609-000. I need to know the location of this TCM. Is it in my transmission front pan? If so, this model has to change the entire solenoid bank correct due to the TCM being riveted to the part? Also, do I have to have the new one programed?

You are correct. This is under the pan (valve body cover) and is part of the solenoid pack.

I am attaching a number of documents including the process to program it.

Please run through all this material and let us know if you have other questions.

I attached the process for both transmissions 6T40/45, which is first, the second is 6T70/75.

Thanks

Only if you have a scan tool that is able to down load the latest software for this specific VIN.

However, most all of these modules are able to be bought with the software needed already installed.

This depends on if you can source this part from a company that offers this.

Otherwise you will have to have the software installed after it is installed in the vehicle. Just to be clear, these types of valvebody combination control modules are not offered programmed. I say this just because I have not seen them but that doesn't mean you shouldn't look.
