New cylinder in it is still hard to turn ignition key

Key wont turn turn off. I put a new cylinder in it is still hard to turn, I can turn it with some pliers.

Hey PERR1966,

From what I can see the turning the key moves a push-rod which goes into the actual ignition switch. The ignition switch is fitted further down the steering column.

If the ignition switch is stiff or something is stopping the rod moving freely you will get the symptom you are experiencing.

You will need to remove the column cowl to inspect.

I would suspect you need a new ignition switch.
