2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

My wife took her car to the parts store to have a free check, the check engine light was coming on, they told her the engine was running on 5 cylindersand that #2 ignition coil needed to be replaced, does this sound ok and where is #2 and how do I replace it, Thank You

Some parts stores have "general" scan tools. You might want to take it to a mechanic and let them hook it up to their computer just to make sure. Most mechanics will show you where the coil is and if you already have the part with you it shouldn't cost much to have it replaced while your at the shop. You also may want to check the spark plugs. A bad spark plug can cause a misfire code.
