Engine Mechanical problem
1986 Suzuki Samurai 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

Installed new head gasket and valve seals. Adjusted valvel according to manual. Noisey valve and no power. Readjusted again would not turn over. Still trying to get this running. Piston at TDC intake and exhasut closed, But distributer is pointing at No 4.
What any I missing.

Here is easy way to adjust valves on 4 cyl. Remove valve cover and plugs put wrench on crank bolt, rotate engine watch cyl 4 when the exhaust closes and intake starts to open adj. Cyl 1. Then watch cyl 3 wait for valves to rock ex close int open, adj. Cyl2 and so on. Never fails as for Dist rotor check position when cyl 4 rocks and adj cyl 1.
