Suzuki Swift 2001 - The transmission oil is at the right level but the in drive, reverse and Low the car only moves very slowly when gas is appliied.

It ran OK a week ago the last time I drove it. While it has been sitting I have been changing out multiple wires that were burnt on the wiring harness under the hood.

Is there any electrical or vacuum sensor that could be affecting the transmission in this way? Maybe my fiddling with changing wires could have messed with such a sensor?

Yes, the trans is electronically controlled, any wires that were melted could have an effect on the way the trans works. There is a link at the bottom of main forum page that is for Mitchell-On-Demand, in there you will find all wiring diagrams for your car, that will help you see if maybe you got a wire crossed somewhere
