I have a 2003 Suzuki Vitara 2.0 L with 52000 miles on it. The problem I am having is that once the car warms up it starts hesitating, loss of power, dies when you come to a stop but always starts right up. I have replace the MAF and now the check engine light comes on and I get the following codes 117, 122, 328 and 2229. Any suggestions?

Since my first post I have replace the Engine Coolant Sensor with no luck.

Well, even with a new MAF, those codes are typically for 117 is (ECT) Engine Coolant Sensor, 122 TPS (throttle position), 328 is Knock Sensor, and 2229 is a Manufacturer Specific code, but is most of the time BARO (barometric pressure sensor).

Do you use the cruise control often? If so, at the same speed? It might have worn spot in the sensor, as it is mechanical and stumbles when passing that point. The ECT sensor could have a factor in the Air/Fuel ratio and if it isn't working properly, is leaning the mixture out at Idle, thus shutting off from lack of fuel. The BARO is your altitutde sensor, so if that has Malfunctioned, it could be telling your car to change the mixture due to a "change" that isn't happening. Which is probably the reason it is dying at a complete stop. It's sensing high altitudes, which has less air. Changing the mixture, and the other one is your knock sensor which is going off because of the engine stalling.
