Transfer Case 4x4
2003 SUZUKI VITARA 4WD AUTO.64000MI.
I am having problems getting rear brake drums off to change the shoes. This is the first time changing them. Any suggestions on how to get them off, would be greatly appreciated.

There may be a couple small holes that are threaded that will accept a bolt that you can screw into it and alternatly tighten them and it will force it off.
You can try to turn the adjuster in from the backing plate side. BUT be careful you don't adjust them out further.
Another technique that may help is to whack the drum between the studs with a 3-4 pound hammer and it may jar it loose.
Shooting a good penetrating fluid into the areas around the stud hole and the center area may help.
