Hi I know I have to replace my cv joints in my suzuki
swift 1989 becouse of the clicking when turning.
i also have a problem when going over bumps with clunking coming from both sides is that a cv problem as well?
Also are they easy to replace and is there any instructions on how to change them?
If I keep driving with them bad what would happen, would a wheel come off.
Thanks for your forum its great :)

Thanks

Hi there,

You best have the steering and suspension inspected to be safe. The drive shafts are not technical hard to do, but you need a large socket set 3/4 drive to remove the drive shaft lock nut, you also need to be able to replace the transmission oil as it is lost when the shafts are removed. The front brakes, steering and suspension is partially dismantled to remove the shafts, so if you feel you are not able to take on this job, get your mechanic to quote it for you, it should only take him about 2 hours total.
