Sunroof/sunshade will not close

The sunshade in my car is jammed under the sunroof so neither will close. when i turn the control dial i can hear the sunroof motor working and trying to close by the shade is stuck. any advice greatly appreciated!

More than likely you are going to have to drop the headliner. However, I included the process on how to remove the sun protection portion which is what that is called. However, due to it being stuck, I would just go ahead and drop the headliner to what is going on in there.
