Sunroof ramp piece broken

My sunroof has a little ramp on both sides that allows it to move up and down to accommodate the forward and backward/up and down movement of the sunroof as it transitions from the first position (partially-open) to the second (full-open). There is a screw on each side that hold the bracket down that that secure the little spring device that allow this to happen. One od these pieces is broken so I can only get it to close if I physically hold it down to allow the track to slide over the broken area. Do I need to go in and pay a couple of hundred to get it fixed at a dealer, or will a little JB weld in the screw area work? In other words, can I permanently fix that screw in place, or is there a reason that screw has to be able to be removed?
Thanks!

Hello,

I would always try to glue it first to see if you can get that to work, if not you will need to take it apart and replace the part.

Let me know how it goes

Best, Ken
