car is running fine - do I really need to replace the fuel filter which is a big job in the 2005 - part alone is $75.95

Fuel filter only needs replaced if you are experiencing trouble with fuel flow and a diagnostic test proves you need it replaced. Replacing your fuel filter is a simple procedure, not hard to perform at all. If you want procedure steps just let me know..
