Hi, I have a 2001 Outback VDC. Lately, my car started shaking like if the wheels where misbalanced. But, They are ok. Shaking is at its stongest at about 55 miles/h. But, if I release the accelarator or brake, the shaking stops. Can you give me some advise?

Thanks

Sounds like it is in the driveline. When the power is transfered to the wheel is when it is happening, meaning the load of power is on the driveline. I would look at the axle shafts for any obvious signs suchs as boots leaks or torn to start.

Have you changed the belts on your car? If so they maybe to tight. When it is idling look at the crank pulley, see if looks worped if so the belts are to tight
