99 Subaru Legacy Jerking & Lurching at Low Seeds

We have a 99 Subaru Legacy with 67,000 miles. City Driving at low speeds, it coughs, jerks and lurches. It does not do this all the time, but fairly frequently. It doesn't do it when highway driving at higher speeds. We have taken it to our local Subaru dealer five or six times. It never seems to do this when they are test driving it. The last time they hooked it up to their computer which said that nothing was wrong. We like the car but this is about to drive us nuts. HELP! Thanks!

I have a similar problem. I have a 2000 Subaru Outback, Legacy.

I replaced the ignition wires, and the spark plugs. One of the spark plugs was wet with gasoline. Then, it appeared one of the injectors was open all the time.

After replacing that injector, the engine still acts the same, jerking and lurching, and the same spark plug is still wet.

Anyone have any ideas?
