Suspension problem
1991 Subaru Loyale 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 97000 miles

Need to replace the rear struts. I can see how to do it from the repair guide on Autozone, but unsure about how or when to deal with the springs.
At what point do I compress the springs to remove the struts?
After I take off the top bolts? These are in the wheel well.

Any guidance is appreciated
