2000 Subaru Legacy 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

all parts on cooling system are new except for thermostat. Where is and how do I replace the thermostat?

The thermostat is at the engine end of the lower hose. Did you first make sure all the air is out of the system? There's a vent on the radiator where the top hose attaches, it looks like a phillips screw-head.
