Transmission problem
2004 Subaru Forester 4 cyl All Wheel Drive Automatic

I drained the fluid, about 4.5 qts. Added back in 3.5qts. And the fluid was at the top of the filler neck.
Started the car and Idled in park. Put on brake and shifted into drive, 1, 2 and then reverse. Back into park and checked the level and it was the same, all the way to the top of the filler neck. Sucked out 2 qts. And it still shows high on the dip stick. I know its low but the dip stick says differnet. And it wont drive worth a crap. Did I scew it all up? What did I do wrong? How can I correct the problem.

HI there,

It sound as if the filter or the pick up is blocked and there is no circulation, did you do a filter change as well?
