I don't use 4WD often, because it always gives me an issue. Anyway, I shifted into 4HI to test it, I could not move at all. It was in 4HI, is it possible the lever is broken and it was actually in neutral? Anyway, I shifted into 2LO and couldn't drive. So I put it in park, turned off and started my ignition again, I could drive in 2Lo now. I drove home in 2Lo, then in my driveway tested 4HI again, it worked this time. Yes I am shifting only in neutral, I then tested 4lo and it worked. Shifted into 4Hi, and tried to get back into 2Lo. Now I am stuck in 4Hi, can't shift downward to 2Lo, what do I do? Please help, thanks in advance and hope you're having a great day.

Hi,

This binding depends on which transfer case you have. There are three options. NV242, NV231, or NV241. You can identify this by the tag that is on the transfer case or if you want to post just the last eight of the VIN I can look it up.

Again, depending on the unit this could be a linkage issue or internal issue. Let me know which one you have and we can figure this out. Thanks
