The steering angle sensor is integrated into the electric power rack and pinion. You might want to try to recalibrate the unit which I have included instructions for below. If that doesn't work the power rack must be replaced, which I have included as well.

Here is information on the code and what to look for:

The C0460 code is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) that pertains to the electronic stability control (ESC) system in your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. More specifically, it indicates a problem with the steering angle sensor calibration.

The steering angle sensor is a crucial component of the ESC system. It monitors the position of the steering wheel and helps the vehicle's computer determine the intended direction of the vehicle. This information is essential for the ESC system to function properly, especially in situations where stability and control are necessary.

When the C0460 code is triggered, it means that the steering angle sensor's calibration is out of the expected range or has not been properly initialized. This could be caused by various factors, including:

Battery Disconnect: Disconnecting the vehicle's battery, particularly the negative terminal, can sometimes disrupt sensor calibrations, including the steering angle sensor.

Faulty Steering Angle Sensor: The sensor itself could be malfunctioning or providing inaccurate readings, leading to a calibration error.

Electrical Issues: Wiring problems, connectors that are not properly seated, or damaged wiring can also cause calibration issues.

To address the C0460 code, you might consider the following steps:

Perform Steering Angle Sensor Calibration: Some vehicles allow you to recalibrate the steering angle sensor through specific procedures. Refer to your vehicle's owner's manual or technical documentation for instructions on how to perform this calibration.

Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
