My car will crank but when I put it in drive it falls dead but it will start back up yet it still falls dead when I put it back in drive. Sometimes when I jus crank it up and let it run it falls dead sitting still. It jerks a little when I accelerate. It makes a clucking noise while I'm accelerating. It also will fall dead when I slow down and while in reverse.

Under your drivers side dash should be a connection port called a DLC connector. You must have a scan tool to retrieve codes that are stored in the vehicles computer. Any repair facility can retrieve the codes for you.
